PROGRAM OF THE DIDACTIC ACTIVITIES IN OUR FARM

The farm is also available for school classes as an teaching farm where the children can get in contact with the animals, learn about the cycle of milk and make ricotta as well as baking bread with all the single steps starting from grain and take the result of their work home to show their parents. The principals are:

• THE CYCLES OF THE MILK

• DOING THE BREAD

In the first itinerary we explain the feeding and the care of the cattle,  therefore:

• visit of the animals in the stalls;

• explanation of the differences among wheat, bowline, corn and fava;

• milking of the cows;

• preparation of the ricotta;

In the second we do the bread, from the grinding in our old mill (with the millstones in stone) to the dough, to the cooking in the oven in stone.

N.B. Every baby will be, therefore, protagonist of this experience!

Every child will be able to realize and to bring the ricotta and the bread home! Those people who opt for the whole day, instead, besides choosing one among the two runs above listed, will have cheered from creative and musical laboratories!!!
